After business objectives are set, and contracts signed based on them, it is imperative to find ways to make sure that the business is diligent about meeting the SLA goals. When it comes to infrequent events such as a DR failover, taking the time to prepare and practice these actives can take a backseat to other priorities. Some industries are likely to be more familiar with maintaining these capabilities than others. Government regulated industries are used to expecting to spend time, energy and money on these actives. If your organization is not regulated but has contractual SLAs, it can be helpful to gently remind the business of these as you prioritize work.
